How the AI sets limits

OtterLend docsHow the AI sets limits

What the risk desk reads, the rules it applies, and what the AI is and is not allowed to do.

What it reads

Every 10 minutes the desk gathers candidates and reads each one:

  • pump.fun's largest graduated coins, and Jupiter's most traded, trending and organically traded pump.fun coins.
  • For each coin: pool liquidity, 24 hour volume, number of holders, the share held by the top ten wallets, the creator's share, price moves over 1, 6 and 24 hours, the change in liquidity, an organic trading score, and whether the mint and freeze keys are switched off.

All of it is public market data, read live. The desk never guesses a number.

The entry rules

A coin can be borrowed against only if it passes every rule:

  • Launched on pump.fun and finished its bonding curve.
  • No one can mint more of it or freeze wallets.
  • At least $150,000 of liquidity.
  • At least $50,000 traded in the last 24 hours.
  • At least 1,500 holders.
  • The top ten wallets hold 45% or less, and the creator 5% or less.
  • An organic trading score of 25 or more, which keeps out coins whose volume is mostly bots.
  • At least 3 days old.

Coins that fail are listed on the markets page under Watching, not listed with the rule they failed.

The risk score

Every coin that passes gets a score from 0 to 100, the sum of six parts:

PartUp toHighest when
Liquidity30Liquidity is near the $150,000 floor (0 at $5M and above)
Price swings25The price moved 60% or more in a day (or the same pace over 6 hours or 1 hour)
Holders15The top ten wallets hold close to 45%
Age10The coin is under a week old
Liquidity drain10Liquidity fell 40% or more in a day
Trading10The organic trading score is low

The score picks the limit (see loan to value). At 72 and over, loans on the coin are paused.

What the AI does

After the rules have run, the AI reads the facts behind every change and writes the reason you see on the risk desk, in plain words and with the numbers that mattered.

It may also hold a new or raised limit one band lower when it sees a danger the score does not weigh, like a creator selling or holders leaving fast, and it must say why. It can never raise a limit, never cut more than one band, and never list or pause a coin on its own. The rules set the ceiling; the AI can only be more careful.

Entries the AI wrote carry an AI tag on the feed. Entries without it were written by the rules alone.

Every change is public

Listings, pauses and limit changes go on the risk desk feed the moment they happen, with the reason. A change to a coin's cap is posted when it moves by 30% or more.
